I'm often asked what is the best way to get started on improving health and longevity. Some people are looking for the best, most effective supplements. Some ask if organic, paleo, gluten free, etc is the best way to get started.
My answer is always the Magic Bullet NutriBullet.
Why NutriBullet?
The NutriBullet is a simple way to get fresh fruits and vegetables, blended into a great tasting green smoothie. You know you “should” eat more fruits and vegetables daily but who does? We live in a face paced world where people want quick and easy solutions. The NutriBullet is what you are looking for!
Imagine if everyone would drink a raw fruit & vegetable NutriBullet smoothie every day. The health and well being of the world would improve!
How to create a NutriBullet smoothie
Start with Spinach, Kale or any greens. Add more raw veggies to fill the first half. Next top off with fruits like bananas, strawberries, apples etc. Fill with water to the max line, blend and drink.
Simplicity is why I recommend the NutriBullet first. Get in a daily habit of drinking a green smoothie. Create a NutriBullet Journal and track your favorite recipes.
Nutribullet Recipes
Mix it up when you go shopping for fresh fruits and veggies. Try any types of berries, avocados, celery etc. Experiment with anything new or what's in season.
The key is mixing fruit with vegetables so you get the sweetness from the fruit to make the vegetables taste better. Imagine making vegetables taste better. 🙂
The NutriBullet comes with a recipe book and there are numerous websites online for ideas and inspiration.
Here's a few of my favorite idea to create NutriBullet recipes.
Spinach and/or Kale are my base starting point for each green smoothie.
Next I generally add celery, carrots, mushrooms. I've also used tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, virtually any fresh or frozen vegetable.
I fill the NutriBullet cup up to the half or two thirds point.
Fruit comes last and I love strawberries and bananas. Blueberries and raspberries taste and you'd be surprised how good an avocado can taste in a NutriBullet.
The last ingredient is water, preferably filtered water. Add the blender top and then blend everything for 10-20 seconds.
Other ideas to add to your NutriBullet recipes are raw almonds or other raw nuts, powdered supplements like Organic Spirulina Powder, Creatine Powder, Grass-Fed Collagen Peptides, Organic Moringa Powder, Cacao Powder and other superfoods.
Organic Moringa Powder andOrganic Spirulina Powder are tough to take in water, the taste isn't the best but mixed with a green smoothie you'll love them! What is the best Nutribullet model?
I started with the basic and it's done me very well. Actually I purchased a second one to have extra cups for when I did a 14 day Nutribullet Cleanse. I had to premix four green smoothies a day and take them to work!
The Nutribullet RX is basically the same with larger mixing cups.
Any of the Nutribullets will work fine, the goal is one or more green smoothies EVERY day for the rest of your life!
Nutribullet vs Juicing
I tried juicing and purchased a Breville Juicer. Although it worked well, I didn't like throwing away the fiber. I understand the idea IF you need to force more concentrated nutrients into your body, it's a great thing. But for day to day health I prefer having the juice and the fiber.
The NutriBullet packs the nutrients of raw fruits and vegetables into a green smoothy without losing the fiber!
I was able to live on 4-5 NutriBullet green smoothies per day for 14 days. I lost over 20lbs and felt amazing.
