The Emotion Code is an energy healing technique that helps identify and release trapped emotions in our bodies from negative past events.
I think everyone can relate to Emotional Baggage? Trapped emotions can cause depression and anxiety. They can block people from love and happiness and make you feel disconnected from others.
Because trapped emotions are made of energy like the rest of your body, they exert an influence on the physical tissues. Imagine a ball of energy the size of a baseball lodged in the energy field of your body.
Trapped emotions can cause acute pain and even disease. By releasing trapped emotions, it makes the conditions right for the body to heal. So physical and emotional difficulties often disappear or become much more manageable.
My experience with The Emotion Code
I could relate right away when I first read about trapped emotions. I purchased the book after watching the movie E-Motion on Gaia TV. My life has been pretty amazing, not a lot of drama or shocking events. But like all of us, there are old emotions that become lodged in our systems and it's amazing to realize, this is what's causing a lot of pain, discomfort and overall feelings.
I first read Dr. Bradley Nelson's book The Emotion Code around the end of 2017. I'm a certified Reiki practitioner so I've seen first hand what energy healing can do and the power behind it.
IF you haven't experienced a Reiki session before I highly recommend finding someone nearby and set up a session. The Reiki practitioner has been attuned to be a “conduit” of healing light and love through your higher spirits. As you lay or sit they will hold hands over your Chakras and move around your body to bring in the healing energy.
Dr. Nelson is a retired Chiropractor and during his career, he found ways to help those he couldn't with Chiropractic. He created The Emotion Code system to do just that!
By using muscle testing you ask your subconscious yes or no questions to determine what trapped emotions are causing your pains. By identifying and learning more about each emotion, you bring it to the “top” and release it with your intention. You can also amplify the release with earth's natural energy, a magnet. Sessions general last around 30 minutes and you may have up to a dozen or so emotions released!
What is muscle testing?
Muscle testing has been in practice for hundreds and thousands of years. There's a lot of scientific research around it and it's also referred to as “kinesiology.” You can stand still with your eyes closed and think about negative things like war, famine, abuse and your body will naturally sway backward. Next think of happiness, joy, people you love, places you like to go, your pet and you'll sway forward.
Now try this. Choose one of your arms and bend at the elbow so your hand is pointing forward. Now hold your arm firm but don't overdo it, you'll need to press down and test for yes or no answers. A yes will be firm, a no will be weaker and bend down slowly. If you say something true like “my name is ______” and test your arm it will be solid. If you say something untrue your arm will be weaker. Try a few times to get a feel for testing.
This is how you now ask your subconscious yes or no questions. The questions have to be about you, not about the future and simple yes or no questions.
The Emotion Code Chart
Dr. Bradley Nelson created the Emotion Code chart of 60 emotions. They are split into two columns and six rows with five emotions in each row. By asking less than ten yes or no questions you can get to the emotion that's causing your issue. Simply ask and muscle test.
Remember a yes will be solid or firm and no will be soft.
Ask if the trapped emotion is in column A or B. Then is it in the odd or even rows. Then is it example A1, A3 or A5. Finally when you are down to the say A3 ask is it the first, second, third, fourth or fifth. You can also name off the emotions but I prefer to use numbers to find the emotion.
Once you have the emotion you can ask questions to determine when the person (or you) acquired the emotion. Did they get it from a friend, family or just through life?
There's really no “wrong way to do this” you simply want to communicate with the subconscious and bring the trapped/hidden emotion to the surface.
When you have completed asking questions about the emotion you make the intention for it to dissipate and use a magnet to amplify the release. Move the magnet over your head from your nose to the back of your head or if you are doing this for a person or animal run it down their spine which is your primary meridian. You can use any magnet, even your four fingers are magnetized and work!
Will the trapped emotion come back?
No, the trapped emotion is released and gone forever. You have a void now in your aura that is replaced with positive energy and you'll experience a healing time which can be a few hours to a few days or week.
Don't stop at one emotion for your ache or pain. Keep going back asking for more. In a 30 minute session, you can oftentimes find 10-15 emotions and release them

Thank you for helping me to understand that trapped emotions can cause things like anxiety and depression. For the past month, I have been really struggling with anxiety because I have stopped taking one of the medications that I am supposed to be using. It seems like it would be a good idea for me to find an emotion code practitioner so that I can release the things that are causing me to have anxiety.
