Medical Medium by Anthony William recommended reading!

Recommended Reading: Medical Medium: Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal

If there was one book I'd say “stop what you are doing or reading right now” the Medical Medium would be that book!

I've read and reviewed countless books and it's exciting when I find a new reading that breaks into my top 5 and this one could become number one!

In 2011 I read The 4 Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat Loss, Incredible Sex and Becoming Superhuman which helped me view eating and exercise in a new way. Over a 6 month period I lost over 30lbs and started my health transformation!

When I found I had hit a plateau I looked deeper into going “gluten free” with great books like:

I was amazed to learn gluten is buried and hidden inside foods other than “breads” and I continued to feel better but my weight wasn't changing

Next I focused on the Paleo Diet and books like:

I focused on grass feed/free range protein (chicken, beef, pork) as well as Wild Salmon and spinach for my protein, vegetables and nuts. I was avoiding sugar, wheat, dairy and fruit.

I still felt great but my weight could go up or down but I never broke the plateau.

Three times I broke the Plateau

Twice I was able to get within 5 pounds of my goal weight by doing a 14 day Nutribullet cleanse. Which meant I only had raw vegetables and fruit blended with water for two weeks. 

I dropped 15-20 pounds in two weeks and felt great!

But as I added back in the protein and “solid foods” over the next few months to a year I'd gain it back?

What was going on?

Lemonade Cleanse

Next I read this book: The Master Cleanser and purchased the kit: 

I was amazed at my body not “eating” any real food for 14 days and how strong this made my mind! I realized you aren't going to stave in a few days and your body will release the extra fats, toxins and much more during a cleanse.

Again I dropped 20lbs and never felt better! But I had to get back to eating real food and in about 6 months the weight came back.

Something wasn't right here!

This wasn't body fat or I wouldn't be able to lose and gain so quickly?

There had to be more like colon build up, toxins in my colon, kidneys etc. I've been able to lose most of my body fat EXCEPT around my belly, so was it visceral fat or something else?

How the Medical Medium was the missing link!

I will be writing more details about my discovery but here's what I learned I had to change/improve in my diet:

What about protein?

It's probably crossed your mind already, “if I don't eat fish/meat where do I get my protein.”

First I'm learning from reading, working with others and my own experience that you don't need protein 2-3 times a day… once or twice a week is fine. You can also get plenty of plant based protein in supplements like:

Simply mix these in your smoothie or mix with water/juice. Tablets are also available.

The 28 Day Cleanse

This won't be for everyone but three times I've completed 14 day cleanses. I'm looking forward to 28 days this time because it's more than raw vegetable salads/smoothies but also fruit!

In the past during focused Paleo diet times or 14 day Lemonade or Green Smoothie, I realize I lost brain focus and determination as I didn't have the fruit.
